Greetings TBUS members. You've no doubt been receiving reminders for this weekend's ukulele workshop and concert with two time Grammy winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer. If you are on the fence about attending, I hope you will decide to join us. My daughter Amanda and I got to perform with Cathy & Marcy a few months ago at the Milwaukee Ukulele Festival and these ladies are top notch performers and teachers.
Although they are new to the Sunshine State, they have been appearing a festivals and music camps all over the country and have several bestselling instructional videos. They are planning more trips to Florida and if this event goes well I'm hoping to have them present other programs for our group on the future. Getting an up close lesson and performance from artists of this caliber is part of what brought people from all over the country to our ukulele festival last month.
If you can't attend this Sunday, I hope you'll be able join us in January when Lil Rev presents his Jug Band Ukulele workshop and performance. You won't want to miss that one!
P.S. While I have your attention, I'd like the thank Jay for doing such a great job hosting the ukulele jam sessions. Based on the photos it looks like everyone had a great time. Thanks Jay!
