Cookbook Exchange!

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • We all have too many cookbooks, and I know I have some I never use.
  • Let's get together and trade vegan cookbooks. If you have a cookbook that's just collecting dust on your shelf, maybe someone else is interested. Maybe you got one as a gift, but you already had it? Maybe you just aren't as interested in the style of cooking as you thought you would be?

We can meet at a restaurant, home, or park. I'm open to suggestions on time, date, and location. I would like to set this up in May, though.

Each person will get a ticket for every book they bring (let's set a limit at 3). The books must be vegetarian at least, but preferably vegan (and you can only exchange vegetarian for vegetarian).

If we did this as a potluck, we could require you to bring one recipe made from the book you are trying to exchange.

A agree. I think it would be cool to meet at someone's home. You're welcome to use my home but please note that I live in a small two-bedroom apartment. I'd like to share some of my own recipes with everyone! Cool idea!

I love this idea. Meeting at a park or a home would work well if it's a potluck.

Hi! I can definitely come. Does anyone have a problem with me bringing an eight month old baby?

I like this idea, especially the potluck part of it! I have far too many cookbooks that were bought or given when I first made the transition. They look good, but lost out to new cookbooks, and so they mostly just sit there on my shelf, but I'm sure if they were new to someone else they'd be more exciting and get more use!
