Tai Wai Train Station, Exit A (map)
I've met many hardcore hikers in our group, but let's try something different this time - so when did you last bike? For those of you who are interested in seeing Hong Kong on the wheels, we are putting together a bike riding and wine tasting experience on April 24 (Saturday).
You must be like, wine and bike are you crazy? No worries at all. There won't be any drunk cycling involved. We will depart from Tai Wai and take the Tolo Harbour biking route - one of Hong Kong's most beautiful countryside sceneries - and finish off in Tai Mei Tuk (Big Meadow), approximately 20 km. We'll continue with a tasting a nearby picnic area (Chung Pui) and return the bicycles in the area.
All levels of experience are welcomed. Recommended are sun glasses, sun screen, water supply, and no jeans. This isn't a race, and no one is ever left behind. You will be duly rewarded if you put in the effort. Most of the ride will be on paved paths, some will be on regular streets. We won't cover any dirt roads.
RSVP now. Join us to get in shape, enjoy some wine and cheese, and have loads of fun!
We will be sampling:
1. Australia: Logan Pinot Gris 2009
2. Germany: J. Baumer 2008 Rheingau Riesling
3. Argentina: Amancaya Gran Reserva 2007 Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon
4. and a Mystery Wine
Cost: $100 for wine and cheese, $50 the bike rental (I was told)
Route: Tai Wai Train Station -> Technology Centre (8km, 1 hour, quick lunch in food court) -> Tai Mei Tuk (12km, 1.5 hours)
Santé,
Bernie

P.S. This event is subject to the mercy of our weather god. We'll confirm the details 2 days before the event. Please avoid any no shows/cancellation at the last minute.
***** IMPORTANT INFORMATION/DISCLAIMER *****
Before you join our group, you have to check a box saying you read and agree to Meetup's Terms of Service. One of the most important sections in these terms as an organizer is Section 12.2, which refers to liability. Here is a link for your review: http://www.meetup.com... In simple language, YOU and only you, are responsible for your safety at all times if you participate in a Meetup event.
I think it is within 45 mins by MTR. It is only one more train station from Kowloon Tong.

Can anyone give an idea of how long it takes to get to Tai Wai train station from Central?
