TAP is a non-profit organization that enhances the Taiwanese-American community by networking individuals interested in professional and career development, while emphasizing the preservation of Taiwanese American Identity. TAP provides resources and programs that inspire and empower; develop and support professionals to become community-oriented leaders.
Founded in 1991 as the young professionals’ subsidiary of the Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL), TAP has grown to be the largest network of young Taiwanese Americans in the country. TAP has chapters across major cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Boston, Chicago, and Washington D.C. – the San Francisco chapter (TAP-SF) includes over 1,600 young professionals in the Bay Area.
TAP is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization through its parent, Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL).
