Ok, folks, this one is complicated, but extremely important.
We are running out of water, and what water we do have is filthy. Who do we have to thank for that? The TRWD Board of Directors. While they are busy using our tax dollars for their personal recreation (with a 6-seat helicopter with leather interior and a private deer-hunting lease) we find ourselves quickly approaching a water crisis in Tarrant County.
We need help with getting the word out for John Basham, Timothy Nold, and Mary Kelleher. And yes, you can vote for all three.
Fort Worth is one of the Top 10 cities in the United States most likely to run out of water. Fish in the Trinity River have been declared a "hazard to human health".
In response the TRWD board, rather than stand for re-election at the end of their latest four-year terms, simply voted to cancel the obligatory election last year and GAVE themselves another year in office. They've been sued for more than 300 violations of Texas law by holding meetings in secret.
We need a new board, one that won't give take property via Eminent Domain from landowners to make sweetheart deals with crony capitalists. We need a board that will concern itself with clean water and flood control, not creating a "Lake Granger". Hell, people, we need a board that will allow itself to be re-elected or voted out on a legal schedule!!!
We have got to get Basham, Nold, and Kelleher elected to these important positions.
We need you to help out at Fort Worth's early voting locations. Take a vacation day. This one is important. And it's fun! You're encouraged to bring a plunger with you as a prop!!
