Lecture with Vegan DineOut

Monday, March 25, 6:30 - 8:30pm

Lose weight without the stress, struggle and guilt.

presented by
Dr. Paul Moorehead, Ph.D. in Physiology and Associate Chair of Physiology and Health at Maharishi University of Management

Based on Maharishi Ayurveda, the world’s oldest system of natural medicine, the Naturally Trim approach to weight management is fundamentally different from any other program you may have tried. It does not involve stress, struggle, guilt, hard exercise, weight scales, calorie-counting diets, psychological manipulation, or artificial diet pills and powders. Naturally Trim is a simple, and natural approach to obtaining your ideal weight.

You will learn effective techniques to help correct imbalances that cause weight disorders and other health problems. You will understand how to tune in to your body’s needs, to correct the underlying imbalances that cause weight problems and enliven the inner intelligence already inherent in your mind and body.

By understanding the fundamentals of Ayurveda, and how to identify your Ayurvedic body type, you'll understand your unique physiology, you'll be able to start with small changes to your diet and daily routine to bring your body into greater balance.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Enjoy your food more, and curb cravings
  • Reach your ideal weight without following a calorie-counting diet
  • Eat the right amount of food at the right time
  • Improve your digestion
  • Eliminate erratic and compulsive eating habits
  • Identify foods appropriate for your body type
  • Listen to your body – to create balance and to create health.

    You will also learn:
    • How to use 7 vital spices to balance your appetite
    • 6 yoga poses to balance metabolism
    • "Wise Water" formula for gentle daily detox
    • Top 8 foods that balance "Kapha" Body Types

The goal of this class, however, is not just to help you lose weight, but to help you create a more balanced mind and body. To help you embark on a quest for self-improvement and create a more balanced, healthy, blissful you.
