Our meetup group is a welcoming and friendly group of folks who like to get out there and ride! We think that riding in a group is usually more fun than riding solo. We have all levels of bikers, from beginners to advanced. Our bikers also have all kinds of bikes – old ones, new ones, ratty ones, shiny ones, road, mountain, and hybrid. Our rides go all over – metro, ‘burbs, outlying areas. Roads, trails, and track. This year, we’re even trying some camping trips!

We’re not very formal. We don’t care what you ride, how fast you ride, or whether you’ve been riding years or days. We’re just glad you’re here!

You will find all sorts of rides posted on our calendar, by all sorts of different people with different riding styles and speeds. Take a look at the postings on the calendar located HERE we’re sure you’ll find one that matches the type of ride you’re looking for. We try to put enough detail into our ride descriptions so that you have an idea of the pace, mileage, and terrain. If you’re not sure you’ll “fit” with a ride, email the ride leader for the ride (click on “email” under the person’s profile photo on their profile page) and ask! If we think a different ride would be a better fit for you, we’ll tell you.

Safety first! Helmets are REQUIRED on all of our rides. If you come to one of our events without a helmet you cannot ride with us on that day, sorry it is not personal. We will gladly welcome you back for the next ride when you have a properly fitted helmet. We follow the rules of the road. To see the rules of the road, look HERE. Also there is an excellent discussion thread posted by Mary HERE . Click on the links in this discussion thread and you will be rewarded with a TON of great biking information. If you don’t know the voice and hand signals, ask your ride leader before the ride. We’re glad to help. We do expect you to have a bike in good repair, and to have the equipment with you to repair your own bike and tire if necessary during the ride. Leaders or other riders will typically help, but it isn’t always possible. You need to be self-sufficient. You are responsible for your own safety.
