January Twin Cities Doctor Who Meetup - AT THE PARKWAY!

This will be the first official Twin Cities Doctor Who Meetup at the Parkway Theater. We'll be showing the Christmas special, per our tradition.

SHOWING: The Snowmen.

You can watch the trailer here: http://youtu.be/L3KVpvEUTns

Also Showing: A Christmas Carol

Roll starts at 3. There's a lunch buffet from 12 until 3 at Pepito's if you want to grab lunch first - and after a few of us will likely gather for post episode chat.

Admission is free - and you can bring in food from Pepito's if you want!

Also - new space, no limits on RSVPs unless we break seating limitations!

Great! Nice seeing a Doctor Who episode I have not seen!

Very fun! As others have said, an intermission between episodes would be great.

Had a great time! Agree that it might take a bit more effort to meet new people when you're not sitting at a table with them for the whole time. Will try Pepito's next time! :D

Nothing better than watching Dr Who @ home than watching Dr Who on the Big Screen with a bunch of enthusiastic folks.

I came to my first meetup this evening. I enjoyed seeing the films and the venue is great. Didn't really get to MEET anyone though :/

There are a bunch of options for meeting people. If you show up a little early (grab one of those first-come-first-serve couches!) there's some talking before the show. If you show up to Pepitos before for the buffet, there is a bunch of Whovians who do that, or, you can go to the restaurant after - there was a room set aside for Doctor Who Meetup after, like Warren said. Otherwise, we would normally have an intermission. We need to be done and out by 5:30, so since the episodes were 60 minutes each and we started a bit late, we judged that we couldn't have it this time.

Excellent as always! But could really use a 15 minute intermission between episodes to get up and stretch the legs (and get more soda, beer, popcorn etc).

I agree, an intermission would have been nice!

Usually we will have an intermission, but both of these episodes were long, so we were in a slight time crunch today. Next month!

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Whovians and assorted Sci-Fi fans…I bring you great news! For those of you planning to eating at Pepito's before hand, just tell the server that you are here for The Doctor Who Meeting and get the special price of $8.95 for the all you can eat Taco buffet! The offer is exclusive for this group. So yes, there are plenty of Tacos for the Doctor Who marathon! I thank you and look forward to seeing you all there!

    What's the parking like?

Street parking, with residential areas surrounding the three-four block commercial zone. You can get valet parking at Pepito's. There are a couple side streets close by where you might need to use a parking brake. So far I haven't had much trouble finding a reasonably close spot.
