Di,

I think that it should not be a problem to bring in our own A/V, Laptops, DVDs.

A special announcement from Di, Organizer of The Minneapolis Doctor Who Meetup Group

Hey all -

So Ben and I have looked into the libraries like discussed at the last meetup. Here's the problem:
We can get a free room at the Minneapolis Public Library downtown (Edina was booked up) BUT they do NOT provide A/V equipment, so we would have to provide our own. The rooms that *do* have A/V cost a pretty penny, and I just can't manage the size of deposits requested.

In this group, I'm sure it's entirely possible, but I wanted to check. Again, I can play anything that's downloadable or on DVD- which will make say, season 3 of New Who eps entirely possible, as well as many of the old ones.

The other alternative is that I look at other libraries in the Minneapolis area - most of the outlying ones still, however, require a room deposit and just might not have the A/V equipment thanks to all the funding issues libraries have been having.

And yes, once we get this sorted out, we'll figure out what we're going to show. :)

So please, thoughts, ideas, and portable equipment are welcome. Does anyone happen to have a projector?

Di
