We just had a meetup for the Conservatory last week, but it appears they are doing another one this week as well. If people didn't get shots that they wanted or where unable to attend the previous one, this is a good time to get in and shoot the christmas setup.

Here is a link for the conservatory: http://www.comozooconservatory.org/events/special-events/

I like the early hour. The lighting is softer than it is in the afternoon, but not too dark to shoot with natural light.

Yeah given the snow there were no shadows inside of the conservatory at all except ones created by the artificial lighting. Was nice with only a few photographers there, made it so we could spread out a bit more and didn't have to worry too much about tripping over people.

I found being in the tropical setting taking pictures of exotic orchids VERY enjoyable!

For those coming tomorrow make sure to drive safe since it is going to be pretty bad weather out!

For those who are planning to come to the event. If it is bad driving weather know your limits. There will be other chances to photograph them.

Yeah should be 2-3 inches by morning according to weather man, and heavier to the north. Will have to see how bad it is in the morning but don't blame people for ducking out if it is too bad.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
