Winter Photo Hike at the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge with Don Tredinnick

Winter photography cane provide some very rewarding images if you prepare properly for the day and understand how your camera tries to interpret snow. At the refuge, winter allows us to access areas that are otherwise unaccessible at other times of the year.

We will begin with a quick discussion on winter photography, and then make our way down the hill to see what we can find.

This hike is open to photographers of all abilities and all camera types. Be sure to bring warm clothing, sturdy footwear, water, and of course your camera.

Any idea how far we plan on walking? Depends on how cold it is if I'll come.

Probably somewhere between 1 to 1 1/2 miles. The weather forecast is looking good.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
