Hell's Kitchen Tea Buy

We'll meet at a little grocery named R & B Grocery because it is almost across the street from the rear entrance to the Port Authority, and there is a M11/M16 bus stop right in front of it. This is an ethnic deli/grocery that has a few Teas & Herbs. From there we will head up one block to International Grocery. They only have two Teas here, but they do have a great selection of bulk grains, nuts, spices and other food specialties. We'll then cross the street and go to Empire Coffee & Tea. I know they sell Tea here :) From there we'll head further up 9th Avenue to the Amish Market. They have many boxed Teas and are also an excellent source for gourmet foods. We'll then finish the tour at Kyotofu where we'll enjoy some of their Teas and you can grab a bite to eat. They have an excellent Weekend Brunch.

Here's the link to the Google map of the tour.

This will be a very short tour. We should be at Kyotofu by 1 PM.

If you are going to join us at Kyotofu, please indicate so when you RSVP as space will be limited for this.

Here are directions:

If you are coming from NJ and have taken a NJ Transit Bus into the Port Authority, this may be the easiest Meetup that you've ever traveled to. Just leave the Port Authority through the 9th Avenue exit and you will be almost directly across the street from R & B Grocery.

You can also take the A/C/E to 42nd Street, walk to 9th Avenue (West side of the street,) turn left and walk down to 39th Street and you will see R & B Grocery.

If you are coming from the UWS, the M11 bus will take you right down to 42nd Street on 9th Avenue. A creative Bus route is the M16 Bus for those traveling to the start of the tour from the East Side as it travels along 34th Street, turns up 8th Avenue and terminates at 43rd Street at 9th Avenue.

See you soon,
