Just reinforces that I'll find another Chinese restaurant to routinely support. Good luck!

Thanks for heads up Kamala. So far I am fine in terms of not double charging. Hopefully the process goes smoothly. Could they not deal with it over the phone?

They have not been the best at calling me back so I thought I'd do it in person ... They will be calling me back as they could not do it at that time in person LOL ...

Everyone who attended make sure to check your credit card statements. They ended up charging us twice. Going down there today to get it fixed. Just thought I would mention it since there had been a problem with a card at the table.

I would agree with Kamala. Certainly not the waiter's fault. I know that sometimes even the best planned event (they have been doing this for 3 years), can go awry if wait staff call in sick/etc. However, I would assume this is a significant event for them, and backup wait staff/cooks, etc should have been planned for. I do think the waiter did an excellent job with all the responsibilities he had.

I did not think that the food was good at all. Yes I ate it, but would never go back if last night's dinner was representative. I expected decent Chinese food, and not Americanized. Though I'm not an expert on the cuisine, I did live in Beijing for 3 years, traveled extensively over a decade from Chengdu, to Harbin to Guangzhou to Shanghai--and have never had mayo on anything. Neither did I have as much sweet and sour. Though it was fun to see CO Tea people, I was disappointed and won't return to that restaurant.

Hi Diane--I didn't expect anyone to get in touch with Purple Ginger, so please don't feel you need to. Karen

Was not very organized. Our waiter was overwhelmed so it took a long time to get things like cups, water, and spoons? The food was pretty good and the one lion dance that they did have was good but I thought there would be more performers.

Good evening! I was sorry to miss the dinner, I was not feeling well and had to miss the event. Thank you Kamala and Karen for your helpful feedback. I will touch base with Purple Ginger II to let them know there were some concerns.

Especially after reviewing the menu full of seafood (I'm allergic to anything that grew-up in the water), I'll be passing on this one.
