Iced Tea Tasting 'n Bake-off Contest in the Park (Yahoo for Summer!)

Join our Meetup's finest bakers (and we have many)

at York Mills Park for our Meetup's first

BAKE-OFF Contest with **ICED TEA**!

Bakers:

Bring your best baked goods to be judged and tasted by fellow Meetup members.

First and Second Place Winners will receive prizes.

Meetup Members:

Bring your blankets, picnic mats, foldable chairs, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, park-related games, etc. so you can enjoy your afternoon.

Can I have a volunteer to bring a cooler full of ice? That would be nice.

Don't worry--Cups, cutlery, plates and red balloons will be supplied by moi.

How about you bring a flask of your favourite **iced tea** to share?   Add an event comment re: the iced tea that you plan to bring with you to the picnic.  Let's turn this bake-off into an iced tea tasting too!

Woo hoo!   :)

Some of the ladies at the last Tea event in the park were interested in the lily gardens I was talking about. This is the site with all the info. I have chosen to show the page with different patterns they have. On the left you can look at them by colour, height etc... Enjoy

Thanks Lisa – your hard work in creating this wonderful day was much appreciated. It was so much fun to try the varied baking entries and iced teas. I brought Plantation Tea which is a tea popular in Hawaii – a mixture of black tea, pineapple juice, and simple syrup. Another tea that I learned about at the meetup is called an Arnold Palmer – a drink comprised of 50% iced tea and 50% lemonade. Sounds yummy! I especially enjoyed the mint iced tea blend and the citrus green tea. So refreshing!

I'd like to attend this as my first meetup with your group as long as it's okay to bring my toddler. Also, we would likely have to leave near 4:00pm.
