It's that time of the year, Tea Lovers!

It's time for free ROM Walks--A great way to learn more about our city.

For this 2 hour walk:

BYOT (Bring-Your-Own-Tea) and meet your EVENT HOST, JOHN,

between 1:30 pm and 1:50 pm at this tour's start point:

Northeast corner of Church and King Streets

*See here for a map: http://www.rom.on.ca/sites/default/files/imce/romwalks2013_2013_0310v2.pdf

TTC Access:  King TTC Subway Station.

At 2:00 pm the tour will start and you will explore:

"...the landmark religious buildings of Toronto learn about the social development of the city and the role of the church during the War of 1812."

These tours take place rain or shine so please dress weather-appropriately so you can enjoy yourself.  Also, wear comfortable shoes.

After the tour,  our members and John may stop for a tea, snack or dessert depending on group consensus and restaurant choice.  Add an event comment if you have any suggestions re: the former.

The tour was wonderful and it was nice to have a tea and chat after the walk. John did a great job of keeping me in line. Thank you for not losing me! (I walked off with the wrong tour guide twice). I really enjoyed the outing.

My group had an extremely knowledgeable guide (Peter) who provided a humourous and educational experience.

Our ROM guide said our first stop will be St James right at. Church and King. The guide will then head north and east, ending at Dundas and Bond.

As per the above event page with all the details, the walk starts at 2:00 pm. Please plan to meet your Event Host, John, and the ROMwalk volunteer at least between 1:30 pm and 1:50 pm. Depending upon whether or not our members want to go out to eat/for tea after the event, the entire event may conclude around 6:00 pm. If no outing occurs after the walk, the walk may end between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you for the kind words Lisa. This area is so full of history, so I'm sure the ROM Walk will be fun. For those who are attending - please do put forward cafe/restaurant suggestions...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
