Well then, join some of our Mtup's tea lovers who love art too, for a rare treat:

"The National Gallery, London, is offering a major exhibition on one of the most startling and fascinating artists of all-time Johannes Vermeer, painter of the Girl with a Pearl Earring. Vermeer painted little more than 30 works that still exist, and the National Gallery has chosen to focus on his art in relation to music. Music was one of the most popular themes of Dutch painting and revealed an enormous amount about the sitter and the society. The event film goes beyond the exhibition to tell the entire story of Vermeer's life and, in doing so we show in detail many other of the artist's great works. The program will suit the wide audience who adore Vermeer's work and who want both to see it in detail and to learn more about this mysterious, fascinating man." (Cineplex.com)

During the performance, we will be drinking Tazo tea via Starbucks located inside the theatre.  However, if any of you want to join me at 6:00 pm for a quick pre-show dinner and tea at La Boheme Cafe that would be great!  Just add an event comment to let me know.  Thanks.  :)  ( Cafe map and address: http://labohemecafe.ca/?page_id=17 )

The three best things about tonight's event were:
    1) The members who came out were the nicest and sweetest women with the best attitudes. Thanks for coming out!
    2) The Vermeer art talk was FABULOUS--So informative re: the artist, his work and his world. Vermeer now has stolen my heart.
    3) The pre-tea and dinner at La Boheme was delicious. I loved my Rooibos Provence latte (Tea Emporium's blend--Woo hoo!) and grilled veggie with goat cheese sandwich. I did not have dessert this round but secretly was making plans to purchase one of their pumpkin pies and sneak it into the Cineplex. La Boheme has everything to delight the soul, including truffles! Woo hoo #2.
Stay tuned for another Tea 'n Art outing around the corner.
