Ever wanted to build something, but didn't have the right tool or material or expertise to make it happen? Makerspaces are an emerging trend in community innovation that focus on providing a shared space for exactly these kinds of resources. Milling machines, 3d printers, wood working equipment, vacuum forming, and so on.
In recent months, we've seen an uptick in interest in creating just such a space here in Central Oregon. And the upcoming meetup of the inventor's group - http://www.meetup.com/bendtech/events/111911402/ - is shaping up to be the first step in making this happen.
If this sounds interesting to you, I'd encourage you to come join like-minded folks in learning more, and discussing what's going to be needed to make this happen.
