Website Programming Basics: Part 2 of 3: CSS

This is an introductory class on frontend website development. It will teach you how to build a static website using HTML, CSS and the popular frontend framework Bootstrap. This is a three part class.

• The first week (Oct 26) we will give an overview on web development. Then we will cover HTML, the language used to display a website.

• The second week (Nov 2) we will cover CSS, the language to add style to a website.

• The third and final week (Nov 9) we will cover the Bootstrap framework. With this you can build a good looking website.

This is a three week class, and each week builds on the last. Prerequisite is just that you are handy with computers, but we will assume you don't know anything about web development.

This meetup group is about collaborating on tech and startup projects so ideally, you will have a website idea you want to build. Use this class to get it started. The first hour or so will be lecture, the second hour will be lab. So bring your laptops. You'll be following along and actually creating the website as we go.

This is a free class and the number of participants is limited. So only sign up if you will indeed be going.
