I'm a serial entrepreneur, and have been in the 'web-scale' business since Day 0 (around '94). I've somehow ended up in the VoIP world, and have the dubious privilege of building the first Erlang-based cloud PBX. I'm also a nice guy.
Cocktail - Negroni Wine - Anything from Liguria, though Lambrusco will do in a pinch
I work in Cloud Communications - where the synchronous (Voice, Video) and asynchronous (IM, SMS, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) worlds merge. To be precise, I design, architect, and build highly available and massively concurrent systems that provide these services - largely in Erlang. The persistence needs of these systems has ended up causing me to be quite involved in the NoSQL world, with particular focus on Riak and CouchDB/BigCouch (yes, Erlang again)
I'm the CTO of Vocalocity - the leading provider of mission-critical cloud based communications services for small and mid-size businesses.
