Breaking Stereotypes in Technology

What is the next Rails?

Where are the tests?

When should we look for a developer?

How do we know the right tools (this week)?

Why does it seem like "us" and "them"?

If you need one of these questions answered this event is for you!

Ra'Shaun Stovall (a.k.a. Snuggs) will be discussing the divide between technology development and implementation. He is a founder of a company involved in Accounting. Ra'Shaun has held many roles in the technology community from Senior Integration Engineer at SalesForce.com to Professor of Ruby and Rails at NYU.

It was fun, great to get out and network with fellow des and also meeting more start ups and recruiters. Snuggs was great. At first I wasn't sure where he was going with his presentation but it all came together and was in fact quite insightfull.

Fantastic presentation - thought provoking, entertaining, inspirational. Not what I expected in the best way. Met some great folks. Great venue. And free pizza and beer. Pretty good 'work' night I'd say.

A humbling experience to be in front of the individuals who make this industry move. They are the ones that make events like this possible. I just challenged their thinking

@Jeff Csicsek. Believes the next Rails is "Node.js". Possibly! I don't think I would "Jump to conclusions" so swiftly :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
