Demos & Drinks

Join us at the famous Public House for a night of tech demos and drinks! See four of New York City's HOTTEST startups demo their product while enjoying cocktails and networking with other NYC techies. Afterwards, mix and mingle with CTOs, CEOs, and Founders of the featured startups to pick their brains about their product, how they got started, and much more!

We are excited to announce our first featured startup: Cheek'd!

Cheek’d bridges the gap between online dating and real-world romance by providing members with physical cards that they can use to entice people from the real world to flirt with them in the virtual world. It’s the 2.0 version of “Call Me.” The cards offer a real purpose and advantage to other online dating sites and expand a subscriber’s dating opportunities beyond the pool of people registered with an online dating service. By bringing the social aspect back into dating and moving it from your computer to your everyday life, Cheek'd is giving it’s members an opportunity to leverage technology without completely depending on it, while promoting a safe and playful interaction in the physical world at a time when virtual interaction is growing and online privacy is scarce.

Announcing our 2nd featured startup... Tout'd!

Tout’d is an easy-to-use social utility that provides a forum for exchanging recommendations with friends.  Tout’d connects you on a person-to-person level and offers a simplified way to get recommendations from the people that know you and your tastes best.  Recommendations are sourced as responses to a friend’s unique need for help, rather than in response to a recent experience, providing a more genuine motivation for submitting the recommendation.  These layers of social accountability and reciprocity make Tout’d recommendations more valuable and actionable than other review sites.

We are pleased to announce our 3rd featured startup- DNAinfo.com!

DNAinfo.com is a hyper-local, digital news organization design from the ground up to overcome the challenges faced by journalism in the 21st century.  We deliver up-to-the-minute reports on entertainment, education, politics, crime, sports and dining.  Our award-winning journalists find the stories – big or small- that matter most to New Yorkers.  In addition we are taking on a second city by expanding to Chicago!

Finally... our 4th (LAST) featured startup: Hailo!

Hailo is a mobile app for iPhones and Androids that is changing personal transportation. Since their release in late 2011 in London and Dublin, they have a huge following of both drivers and passengers and now it’s making its way to NYC. This app will snag a yellow cab for you wherever you are, whenever you want. All it takes is a tap on your phone. You can jump out of the cab as soon as you arrive and get an instant receipt by email!

Our first 75 guests to arrive at the event and tweet #TechinMotionNYC will receive a FREE drink on us!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
