Tech in Motion: Toronto Message Board › IBM SportsHack challenge on developerWorks
San Jose, CA
Have folks hear of the IBM Sports Hack hackathon.
The Internet of Things means data — lots of it. This hackathon brings IoT, cloud, and mobile together with sports and fitness, concepts that are converging thanks to wearable sports tech and apps that track your exercise.
Now’s your chance to show us how to use all this device data to build that next killer app. Your code will create, consume, or analyze fitness data, either previously generated or real-time. You can also contribute your own fitness data if you like.
There are two categories, and you can compete in either or both. Either way, you’ll create an app using data generated by various fitness activities. Your goal is to make innovative use of this data for businesses or other organizations and deliver sheer awesomeness to mobile or web users.
Submit your code by April 29. You'll then get to pitch your app in front of a live audience at Impact, and if you’re a winner, your victory will be announced the next day, April 30.
FYI there is a Real Time Analytics meetup sponsored by IBM in Toronto this coming week.
