Columbus Code Jam (April 2013)

Columbus Code Jam is a meetup to pair on cool projects, get one-on-one guidance from experienced developers & sys admins, network, learn, and eat pizza.

Topics we've discussed so far:

  1. Git Workflows for moving from single-developers to small teams.
  2. Modelling tree structures in RDBMS tables and the SQL to query them.
  3. High-level architecture of a Rails application.
  4. Computing in the bad-old-days of dial-up.
  5. Twitter Bootstrap
  6. CSS
  7. Getting a rails app from Github running from scratch.

Come and add your voice and language to the conversation.

Refreshments for Columbus Code Jam (April 2013) are sponsored by Tek Columbus. We thank them for their generousity.

Another great evening of tech talk and hacking. Thanks to all of the first-timers, and to all of our returning champions. See you next month!

I'm attending. Don't worry about food, I have dietary restrictions that are too much a pain to deal with, so it's of no concern.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
