- obtain user-experience gains in an agile project
- achieve advantages of rapid user modeling
- identify the user costs of refactoring a user interface
Session take-aways include clear recommendations on critical activities for user-experience design, including:
• Rapid user modeling • User limitations • Defining UX objects
• Risk identification • Tradeoff identification and resolution
Speaker:
Martha J. Lindeman Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in user-experience (UX) design, creating, applying and training others on an Agile UX methodology that can decrease project time and risk. Her company, Agile Interactions Inc., specializes in:
- User-experience design in projects with tight schedules
- Systems with multiple user-interfaces and/or input devices
- Customized design workshops
Project deliverables may include:
- Conceptual requirements
- Wireframes, prototypes, and/or interactive simulations
- ]Usability tests/recommendations
Martha J. Lindeman Ph.D. (President, Agile Interactions, Inc.) has been a consultant/trainer in rapid user-interface design since receiving her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Harvard University in 1985. She created and repeatedly refined her GAINS design process for companies such as Xerox, MTel/SkyTel, Prudential, Bank of America, etc.

Ginny BeattyAs someone involved in documentation and user representation
/advocacy, I thought the principles involved in Agile UX design were easy to follow. Often the user gets forgotten when designing systems for them.
