DEC Presents:  2013 Tax Law Changes - What Entrepreneurs Need to Know

Worried about paying and filing taxes?  Plante Moran Tax Group has some year-end tax planning ideas aimed at helping you, the entrepreneur.  Bernie Ostrowski, Nick Leach and Scott Krahn of Plante Moran will bring you tax law changes for 2013 along with
associated planning opportunities related to the changes.  Some additional things you can
learn from this session include information about:

• the new Medicare 3.8% net investment income tax

• the Repair and Maintenance regulations

• common planning ideas that require action by year end

Presenters: Bernie Ostrowski, Nick Leach, Scott Krahn

Bernie Ostrowski is the partner in charge of the tax group in Columbus and spends the mostly of his time dealing with business owners relating to both personal and company tax and business issues. Bernie is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (BS Accounting) and has a law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.

Nick Leach is a senior in the Columbus Plante Moran Tax Group, focusing  on partnership and s-corporation tax issues as well as  tax planning for high net worth individuals.  He is a graduate of The Ohio State University (BS Accounting)

Scott Krahn is a senior in the Columbus Plante Moran Tax Group focusing on tax issues related to entrepreneurs and other privately held businesses. He also has experience with cost segregation studies and fixed asset studies as part of the firm's Tax Solutions Group. He is a graduate of Weber State University (B.Sc. Accounting) and the Ohio State University (Master of Accounting), and is presently pursuing his Master of Taxation from the University of Denver.
