DEC Presents: "Know your rights, protect your rights... Affordable legal access for the small business owner."
Join us at the DEC on Thursday, January 16 from 10:30am - 10:30am in the Board Rm.
Everyone knows that small business owners wear many "hats." But being the company attorney doesn't need to be one of them. When most small business owners face a legal situation, they find themselves going it alone instead of seeking legal counsel because of 1.) the high cost associated with hiring an attorney, and 2.) not knowing who to call for help.
There's an old saying that "If you don't know your rights, it's like not having any!" Access to qualified legal counsel is something that many small businesses forgo due the reasons mentioned above, but it's something that no major corporation would ever be without. Common legal needs that owners face are: collection of bad debt, contract review, intellectual property, joint ventures, incorporation, employee issues, partnership disputes, non-compete agreements, customer disputes, product liability issues, identity theft, tax problems, compliance, and many more. And this doesn't even include personal legal issues like Wills/Trusts, landlord/tenant disputes, auto accident, family issues, or lawsuits that could easily affect one's business or partnership.
In this fast-paced and informative 30-minute presentation, you will learn some of the legal exposure small business owners face that could cost them significant amounts of money, or even lose their business and livelihood. Find out how some business owners are utilizing legal service plans to get the protection, legal access, and the advice they need, all for an affordable, flat monthly rate. We will discuss legal service plans that cover both personal and business issues, as well as identity theft protection/restoration.
