MEC Presents: "Whitman's 21 Leadership Traits"

Join us on Tuesday, May 6 from 10:30am – 11:30am.

Program:

My discussion (and traits) is centered around the theme "Leaders don't see the organization as it is, but what it can become."  Some keys points are:

1.  Leadership see themselves as leaders

2.  Have courage, commitment and intellectual vigor

3.  Have ability to motivate others

4.  Know that giving away power gives you more power

5.  Think and dream big

6.  Understand the nature of public criticism and scrutiny

7.  Build a reservoir of good will that they can use when the need it

8.  Never confuse leadership with power

9.  Leave the position when the excitement is gone and negotiate an exit strategy
