agileLUNCHBOX & ICC present “Making Believers out of Skeptics"

Making Believers out of Skeptics- Choosing the right Agile Practices for your Organization

Although an increasing number of organizations are buying into the value an agile process brings to their businesses but many continue to face hurdles when it comes to adopting specific best practices such as pair programming, test driven development, sizing iterations, managing stories and implementing an advanced Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process.

Siddhartha Saran

In this session, Siddhartha Saran, Engagement Manager for ICC’s Java and SOA Practice, will facilitate a discussion on how to make believers out of skeptics by building consensus on foundational concepts The focus will be on the keys to implementing agile practices that increase efficiency and improve the overall quality and delivery of work. Siddhartha, an IT Strategist, Agile Enthusiast and seasoned management professional, will highlight the pragmatic approach used to adopt best practices in ICC development center.

The warm-up video was hilariously funny - very poignant! I think it might have actually served to 'harden' my skeptic colleagues, had they seen value in coming! But those of us lauging to tears bear witness to the laughable nature of many expectations under the "old" paradigm. The thoughtful presentation hit the high points of contention and less bought value in the Agile sale, and socratically provoked healthy countering thought.
Lunch was a great and generous spread as well - Thanks ICC!

This was a well formatted meeting of minds on agile adoption. Being new to Agile this sort of dialog was helpful and insightful.
