If I had professors like Matt Curtin, I might well have finished my degree. Great speaker, and I enjoyed meeting several new and interesting people at the event.

The speaker's message was very thought provoking. Much of the IT technology we use today has roots more than 25 years old. The perception of recent rapid development is more about application that invention. He stressed learning history and theory to stay employed in IT for the future.
