Project Description: 

Our direct client is looking to hire a highly motivated, self-starting,
Technical Writer. The successful candidate must be able to work
independently while actively participating in a dynamic, global team.
Authors technical documentation for internal and external users; edits
existing written and on-line technical documentation. Assures that the
finished product complies with the company standards in content, format,
structure, grammar and presentation. NOTE: Responsibilities: Writes and
publishes IT technical documentation (e.g. Functional Specifications) in
line with the clients SDLC process. Plans and schedules the
documentation (functional) phase of the lifecycle. Reviews and revises
previously created documentation. Keeps all stakeholders informed of
progress/issues in a timely and effective manner. Forms strong
relationships and interfaces closely with all functional areas, e.g.
Product Managers, Development, QA and Certification to gather data and
ensure the final work product complies with expectations. Responsible
for administrating, project specific, documentation into the company
repository. Reviews and analyzes all product requirements and when
appropriate, authors Business Requirements. Understands business,
product offerings and technology. 

Required Skills: 

* BS or BA or higher in English, Computer Science, Business, or related
field, or equivalent professional experience  
* Minimum of 7 years experience working within the Financial Services IT
arena, last 5 or more working as a Technical Writer within the financial
services arena 
* Hands on proficiency required: all MS Office products, Windows
environment, Docushare or similar document repository 
* Familiar with object oriented databases, TCP/IP, Internet browsers and
protocols, HTML, XML, Java, and Developers' desktop tools (Rational
* Knowledge of current technology and upcoming trends 
* Excellent oral and written communication skills 
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and to work well in a
collaborative environment 

Other Information: 

In addition to the specs, we are looking for someone with experience
with the following products: UST Actives, Japanese Government Bonds,
Repos, CDS, and Canadian Government Bonds. Basically we are looking for
someone who will be able to ramp up quickly on an upcoming project. If
nothing else, they should definitely have recent experience in the
Financial/Trading atmosphere.
