PBS Nerd Walk with Brunch Afterwards

Registration is free, but required.

The Homecoming committee announced that this year’s parade will  start at 8 AM . However, the earlier  start time means cooler temperatures and fewer sweaty nerds at the end of the walk (yay)

(Be aware, this is a different location than last year. Please see the map here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?... )

This year, we will be meeting near the start of the parade (on McAllister Drive just south of University). Look for a sea of Gold Nerd Shirts and a Delorean.

ASU has granted free parking for all Nerd Walk participants. Go to the parking garage at the intersection of Rural and Lemon & tell the attendant you’re volunteering for ASU Homecoming and you’re in. If you plan on taking light rail  you can get off at the  University and Rural light rail station.

More info? Email [masked] or tweet @bob_beard

Afterwards, we can get a bite to eat and nerd it up. :)

The fabulous ASU Block Party full of nerdy, intellection activities starts at 9:00 in front of Old Main! Usually free food, too!

Btw, there wasn't any information about a meeting place (or other details) when I changed/proposed a new date and time. :)

I can make Friday work for lunch as long as it's in Tempe or Chandler. Anyone else interested?

Like Paul, I'm in depending on time and location. Mondays suck for me, but Tue - Fri is fine. The further East, the better (I'm beyond Apache Junction) but am willing to come in for a good lunch.

I'm in, depending on time and location. I prefer on or near Mill Ave district (bikable), and though I work the standard M-F 9-5 schedule, I can get away with enough advance notice, or do a weekend meetup, for that matter.
