Tuesday, 6:00 pm (or 7:00 pm), Sellwood Park

Want to play? Sign up. If you come without signing up - you may not get a chance to play.

If odd or even number of people is signed up (two or more people), disregard the "oddity" or "evenness" and simply sign up: we guarantee that you will play (regardless of odd or even number of players, in cases when two or more people are signed up).

Sellwood has FOUR courts: two lower and two upper. They are very close together: 150 yards from each other, but two courts near the "Castle" building and swimming pool are located at higher elevation and are harder to see.  Look around: we could be playing on either upper or lower courts.

This meetup is for players who want to play mixed doubles or singles. We hit around to practice our groundstrokes, then play games, switching partners to induce variety.

If there are two or more courts playing: the routine is to play 5 games, no ads, and then winners play winners on the next adjacent court. The goal is to be on Court # 1 (Champion Court) or move towards it. Number the courts consecutively (#1, #, 2, etc.). After all courts have played their 5 games...winners move towards Court # 1 and non-winners move the opposite direction towards the last court.

If you want to play singles with a particular person - just say so. In this case you do not have to participate in "Court Switching" doubles routine.

Parking is free

Oh, even better: AVOID Sunset highway if coming from Beaverton. Instead, use Beaverton-Hillsdale (highway No. 10), from hwy 217, to Macadam (hwy 43), and then go across Sellwood bridge. Will save you 40 min sitting in absolute clog on Sunset to downtown portland

This is SELLWOOD (Riverfront) PARK. Do you see a big, bold green letters, above, under "Tuesday, September 2, 2014" ? Click on that "Sellwood Park" green link and it will open a map, where you can see courts. Also, if you type maps.Google.com and type the address there, 7951 Southeast 7th Avenue, Portland, OR, it will show you where Sellwood Park is. Also, click on "Driving" on maps.google.com and enter this address (if it is not already entered) and also enter the address where you are coming from. Google will draw a driving directions for you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
