Indoor tennis: the closest place for some of us is THPRD. However some of us aren't in district and it costs more to play. As of the 15th (today) the winter term kicks in and lasts thru March 14th. Those who are out of district can pay a $77 assessment fee that will last during this time period. THPRD does not pro-rate the fee, so even if you sign up next month or in February you're still paying $77. Here's how their system works:
Out of district: $32 per hour for a court
In district/assessment fee paid: $16 per hour
Example: If 3 people are out of district and 1 is in district and you have the court for one hour each out of district person will pay $8 and in district/assessment fee will pay $4. If there's 1 in and 1 out, in person pays $8, out $16.
Anybody who's in district (non-assessment fee) can reserve a court up to a week in advance. Assessment fee is 1 day in advance.
Other perks (guys) there is a men's night doubles every Wednesday from 8-10pm. It's only limited to 24 people, so you need to get your spot a week in advance if possible. They play the same format we do at the meetups.
Reserve courts for at least 2 hours. Odds of anybody paying the assessment or out of district reserving a court for 2 hours on a weekend day that's not late at night is slim to none. We can stick to the 10am format or perhaps something later depending on court availability.
