I would like to learn the language. I just got back from Chiang Mai, had a wonderful time, temples (went to 8 of the 33) spent a day elephant riding. Good food and such nice people. Will go back again....

At Pam's Real Thai the Khao Soi is amazing! I've never found anything similar anywhere in NY! And you'll be in a good mood for the rest of the day, the week, or the month, when you think how burning hot and spicy it is!

Hanglay powder- a northern Thai curry powder mix...is awesome! It is a little bit different from Hand Brand's regular Curry powder, and a bit similar to Massaman curry even though it is a powder and not a paste. Great for simply sauteeing some fish in your frying pan with chicken broth and a smidgen of coconut milk...or all coconut milk

Kate ครับ if you are ever in the Columbia Univ. area, Thai Market Thai Rest.on Amsterdam ave. has great kao soy there too- that's was my first discovery of kao soi for the city- and as some of us already know - its a rare noodle dish served in Thai restuarants here- even for the NYC area. ออ

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
