If you were sitting near my end of the table, I mentioned some songs:
Leum Lai Ban Parh by Sunari Rassima
    http://mp3lx.com/sunari-sunari-mp3-download.html

    duets with Sunari and Beaugneun
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grHnq32cwpA&list=PL37875C0CD336662F
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfVU1JzN9G8&feature=relmfu

If you can read well enough and fast enough, both duets from you tube are meant for karaoke and the words are there.

At yesterday's Meetup, some asked about purchasing คนในผ้าเหลือง by ไมตรี ลิมปิชาต์, the Thai version of "A Man in Saffron Robes" by Maitree Limpichart. Try this site: http://goo.gl/xemFes I didn't follow thru w/ a purchase so don't know what the shipping charges might be.

This was my first. A very congenial group, interesting people...will attend future meetings, whenever I can.

I'm Lori. My 12 yr old daughter is Thai, adopted at age 3. I saw this meetup and jumped- I don't speak Thai but would love to learn, and make connections to my daughter's culture- she has a language in her head that I've never heard her speak!

I am recently back from Thailand and would like to start learning the language.

Can I bring +1? Hope to share the things I love about Thailand. Last there in November, 2012 when I was in Mae Hong Song taking photographs to be included in my first published Thai-to-English translation http://saffronrobes.srlandau.com

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
