Libertarian Party of San Francisco monthly meeting and social!

The Libertarian Party of San Francisco holds our regular monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday each month, from 3-5pm, followed by a dinner social from 5-6pm. Currently we are meeting at the San Francisco Main Library, at Grove and Market (see http://mapq.st/h/1-AF... for map), in the 4th floor community meeting room. Occasionally another group will be using this room, in which case we will be in a community meeting room on the 1st floor. Everyone is welcome to come and be part of the discussion, however in order to vote on party business you must be registered to vote as a Libertarian if eligible, and become an LP member by completing a membership form. Sometimes our meetings include a guest speaker. After the meetings, those of us who want to hang out and chat over a meal head over to Ananda Fuara vegetarian restaurant at Market and Larkin streets for our social. You're welcome to come for just the social, just the meeting, or both. You can always check meeting details, or find out the latest LPSF news and happenings, on our Libertarian Party of San Francisco website (LPSF.org). Thanks for your commitment to freedom, and on behalf of our local chair Aubrey Freedman and the rest of our group,  we look forward to meeting you! -Starchild, LPSF Outreach Director and Meetup Group organizer

Possible Discussion Topic - Is giving up control your own personal liberty or assets to an authoritarian and extremely inefficient government, a type of delusional mental illness? If not, what causes such voting behavior?

Hi Rich. Because of the Tax Day event we're working on, this month we're not meeting for dinner around the library like we usually do. Right after the meeting, for those who can, we are heading over to one of our member's apt near The Haight for a button-making and sign-making party. (She's providing the food.) You can call me[masked] for the address. Thanks.

I liked the last meeting so much that I just drove all the way from the desert to attend. Lots of young libertarians disaffected with both parties out there, and lots of older ones who usually vote Republican out of religious conviction. (The desert where everyone but me carries a loaded pistol to defend themselves... I use the threat that I will tell a joke as my defense against wandering marauders.) Sane libertarians meet in public buildings like libraries without ideological insistence on meeting at a privately held site.

Unable to be there at 3pm. Would like to meet for the dinner. Have you picked a spot?

If anyone has information or contacts with Libertarians in San Bernardino, I am heading out there soon, and I would like to meet up with them.

[masked] or sbclp.org/contact-us. I thought I had Barnes' info. They have a meeting next Saturday in Rancho Cucamonga.
