I may go check this out tomorrow night... if anyone else is interested, let me know! If Freespace endures for the long term (I heard their original tenancy was up at the end of last month, but they seem to still be there) it could be a potential spot to host SF Liberty Coalition events or other libertarian doings. It's a fun place worth checking out -- spaces like this and Noisebridge represent kind of the bohemian take on entrepreneurship, so it's fitting they're hosting a film about an entrepreneur.

    Freespace Pop-Up Community Center
Impresa! is a film about a young woman in San Francisco contemplating starting a business: her own art gallery. She is a first generation Eritrean American, and the perils of her nontraditional business venture worry the family.
Our protagonist goes on a day trip in the Bay Area visiting the most creative Eritrean and Ethiopian owned businesses to prove that innovation has a place in the community. The short film is a light, uplifting look into the fictitious story of one girl abandoning cultural fiscal fears and chasing entrepreneurship.
Freespace is now a two month-long pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in SOMA, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.
