FBI reports 872,720 marijuana arrests in 2007 - 89% for possession only!

From the 2008 Annual Report of the Marijuana Policy Project this just
in:

"An annual FBI report released at the end of 2008 showed that the
marijuana arrest rate hit an all-time record for the fourth year in a
row According to the latest FBI Uniform Crime Reports, there were
872,720 marijuana arrests in 2007 -- 89% of which were for possession,
not sale or manufacture. That's one arrest every 36 seconds."

The scale of injustice being committed here is absolutely appalling.
Are the Democrats in Congress and the Obama administration going to do
anything about it? Anybody taking bets?
