Hiking and camping on the water

We are heading to one of my favorite places in the tri-state area. Round Valley Reservoir Park, where the water is as clean as in gets here, the hike is fun and we get to camp on the water!! It is about a 2.5 mile hike to our campsite (sorry no lazy car camping this time :) which goes through a fun trail, part of which is along the water.
At the campsite we can relax, go swimming, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, biking, enjoy the sunset and party in the evening. We will have a delicious BBQ with steak, ribs, chicken and veggies on the campfire on Saturday night and a breakfast on Sunday morning.
Bring a sleeping bag and a tent, you can rent one from EMS for a few bucks if you wish.
Anyone who brings a kayak/canoe (and is willing to share) goes half price :) - and you can actually paddle right to our campsite!
Round Valley Reservoir, NJ is only about an hour drive from NYC or a two hour train ride, which goes right to the park at Lebanon Train Station.

I'm alive, car fixed & home! Great trip! Great people! Thanks Max & sabrina for organizing, the chefs and helpers and would like to thank everyone for helping me. Especially keeping my mind focused on the fun at hand! from finding me food, finding company for the extra time on the beach, to a crazy late night dip. There is a saying, 'don't rely on the kindness of strangers', So I consider myself lucky that some strangers are as kind as you all. Thanks again! ...side note, monday morning the mechanic calls and says he has my keys & remote for car but not the ignition key, because of course it falls off my key chain on the ground before I put it in the drop box, who needs coffee to wake up! Not me.

okay, so I'm bringing a kayak, now there is a 2.5 hike to the camp, Which is cool, but for those lugging kayaks what sort of terrain is it? I have wheels to cart it, but is it goona be trouble to get the kayak there?
