At the last Happy Hour in September some people suggested another hike so that people can get acquainted on the trail instead of at a bar. There has not been another hike since July of this year so it is time for another one!
We are revisiting the Dipsea trail and this time doing the Full lenght of the trail from downtown Mill Valley to Stinson Beach and back. It's not a beginners hike since it is 14 miles and 4500' elevation gain, but if you can do 10 miles with a pack in the Sierras this should not be difficult.
Since it is a backpacker's hike feel free to bring any gear you might be trail-testing such as backpacks, poles, gaiters etc. We are leaving Mill Valley early to make sure we have enough daylight but bringing a headlamp just in case might not be a bad idea.
Also, we'll do a "potluck" lunch at Stinson Beach so bring something to share.
Note: Rain does not cancel the hike, there are a few of us who enjoy hiking in the rain.
Meet at the Corner of Throckmorton Ave. and Cascade Dr. at Old Mill Park.
