The Biggart-Waters Act threatened to kill the real estate market in Louisiana. But luckily a new Bill has passed that will prevent castastrophic rate increases.
Hello Fellow RING Members,
It's almost time for our May meeting! We're going to have the insurance broker from American National Insurance Agency as our guest speaker.
Unless you have been totally out of real estate for the last year, you know the devastating threat we were facing with outrageous Flood Insurance rates looming on the horizon.
Some local rates were going from a few hundred dollars a year to over $4,000 and $5,000. Even higher in some cases. Who could afford that? I've seen more that a few closings get canceled because the buyer wasn't going to b able to afford the monthly notes due to flood insurance rates.
Well now we have some relief...and you can find out all about it at the next Ring meeting!
So don't miss out on this terrific opportunity on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Reserve your seat right here:
Here are the details...
Tuesday, May 13th at 6:30pm and will go until around 8:00pm.
We'll be meeting at Burk Baker School of Real Estate on Sherwood Forest Blvd.
You'll have to park behind the bldg. so turn onto Westfork Dr (right beside Daiquiri Cafe) then turn left into the first parking lot. Go to the end and enter the
