Bring your positive energy!! Lets make this a group Holiday get together!

Hi Everyone!
I think this is a great way to get together for the Holidays and support a little boy who needs our help. I think it will be a great time to relax, eat, laugh and just "BE"! So I hope many of you can make it

bd's Mongolian BBQ at the Promenade in Bolingbrook
When Dec 8th Wednesday 5:00-9:00

Come enjoy the fun with Friends! My daughter Nicole's very close friend Tracy can use your positive energy and support for her little boy Logan.

http://www.prayforlog... has his whole story (under the about tab). But here is the basic story of who Logan is/ what we're doing :-)

Logan was born in January 2009 with Tricuspid Atresia, a type of congenital heart disease in which the tricuspid heart valve is missing or abnormally developed. Tricuspid Atresia only occurs in approximately 5 of every 100,000 births. The defect blocks blood flow from the right atrium to the right ventricle. Logan has had several surgeries over the past two years to help repair his heart and help him to function to the best of his ability. In addition to the tricuspid atresia his latest medical challenge is Portal Vein Thrombosis, a blood clot in the vein running between his liver and spleen. The clot also results in dilated, twisted (varicose) veins in the esophagus and often in the stomach which can cause internal bleeding. Due to the unique make up of his body, he is unable to have many of the surgeries available to fix the Portal Vein Thrombosis or the resulting vericose veins/ varices. A liver transplant would also fix these issues; however, due to his very serious heart condition, they do not believe he is a candidate for a liver transplant. Currently Logan is being seen every 5 weeks to surgically remove any varices before they can rupture and cause internal bleeding. With Logan spending so much time in the hospital, naturally, the Bergacker family has had a mountain of medical bills and we'd like to help them! Through it all Logan has been such a fighter and he continues to light up the room wherever he goes. His family has continued to grow stronger during the last 2 years of constant doctors appointments, hospital stays, etc.

So how can you help??

We are hosting a fundraiser at bd's Mongolian BBQ at the Promenade in Bolingbrook on Wednesday, December 8th from 5-9 pm. Logan's parents, Tracy and Aaron, along with a few others will be grilling your food and it should be a fun time all around! For every person who comes to bd's and says they are there for Logan's fundraiser bd's will donate $3 directly to Logan's family. You can come in for a great meal, dessert, drink, or just to say "hi" and show your support for Logan and his family. No purchase is necessary to help out the Bergacker family! The Bergackers will also receive all the tips from the tip jars around the grill during the fundraiser, so generous tips are definitely appreciated. We will also have multiple gift baskets to raffle off (raffle tickets are available online, through friends, or at bd's during the event)! Baskets can be viewed ahead of time at Logan’s website. For those unable to make it, a wellness fund is set up for the Bergackers. More info on that is also available on the website.

Thanks for reading! I'd love to see you all at Bd's Dec 8th in person or in spirit!

Well it was fantastic, the food value was awesome, there were fantastic prizes being raffled and from the look of it the odds were in ones favor to win! Also a great feeling to help, over 150 people attended making it the best show for the restuarant.
