Step Forward for Orphans March

https://bothendsburning.org/initiatives/the-step-forward-for-orphans-march/

Starting time will be 1 PM, on Friday, May 17, beginning near the Capitol (location to be announced next week) and finishing at Upper Senate Park.

They have secured a block of rooms at the Renaissance D.C. Downtown Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, DC, 20001 at $149 per night. Please use this link (https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_ei_new&eventID=10630092) to reserve your room at the march headquarters. Rooms will be held until May 1, 2013. After that rooms will be released to the general public. This is high season in D.C., so if you wish to stay elsewhere we encourage you to reserve early.

If you plan to arrive a day or two before, we want to encourage you to set an appointment with your local legislators to meet with them prior to the march to personally discuss reforms in the international adoption process. They will have a hospitality room at the Renaissance for you to stop in to review talking points with your legislators.

Hours: Thursday, May 16, 10 AM–2 PM
Hours :Friday, May 17, 9–11 AM

I know many will not be able to attend the march, but if you would like to, please sign the petition before the March, so they can take it to our Congressmen. Also, on that day, we could make calls to our representatives, showing our support for the march and the goals of the march.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
