hello... I'm looking at getting this book and joining the book club with a friend, how far did you get in the last discussion and what is the next assignment?

We meet the first and third Monday of the month. We're covering the section of the book from Mohammed's Death through Peter the Great.

The book is a little disjointed but still contains a lot of good information.

This looks like a good book. We all need to understand this topic better and Bill Federer is a very reputable author.

Yes, that would be a great start. But come on down even if you haven't got the book or read that far. It's an interesting topic and a lot of history is coming in the sections after Mohammed's death.

Glen, didn't you specify reading through Mohammed's death? That would be about 23% of the way, about Loc 1725 of 7614 on my iPad's Kindle app.

For those of you who did not click on the Amazon link but did the "Learn more" link, the full title is "What Every American Needs to Know About the Qur'an, A History of Islam and the United States". The author is Bill Federer, a prominent patriotic author. An engaging writer, he also produces American Minute, an entertaining and informative daily snippet of U.S. history.
