As a vet, I am appalled that those who gave their all are refused entry into, what was, open air, unsupervised memorials. As a citizen, I have no great love for the cesspool of "foggy bottom" and our representatives/hypocrites. There maybe wonderful things to see at the capitol but I would see nothing but crime, filth and shame. I hope I never get the want to go there and avoid within a 200 mile radius of it. This also goes for Philadelphia and Boston (been there; common looks like a dump!.

From Jason Howerton The Blaze:

The Park Service will reportedly allow a pro-immigration reform rally to occur on the National Mall even though the site is technically closed due to the partial government shutdown.

Organizers for the event, titled “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform,” set up a stage and equipment for the Tuesday rally as the public was kept out. A spokesperson for the event told the Washington Examiner that the Park Service has granted them permission to utilize the site.

Bob Dane, communications director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, provided TheBlaze exclusive photos of the group setting up the stage and preparing for the rally.

“The President and his administration have a history of picking and choosing which laws they want to obey and this is no different,” Dane told TheBlaze. “Americans who fought for freedom are denied access to the WW II memorial while those who violate our laws are rewarded.”

Dane also said about 30 members of Congress, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are expected to attend the rally.

“The event is hosted by several immigration activist groups, together with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO,” according to the Washington Examiner.

You may recall that Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-Miss.) recently claimed he requested that veterans be allowed to enter the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C., but the request was rejected by the White House.

Obama to Allow Amnesty Rally on National Mall After Kicking Veterans Out

8 October 2013 / 0 comments

Last week, Barack Obama did a disgraceful thing in barricading the World War II Memorial and then later forcing Vietnam Veterans from the Vietnam Memorial. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid then attempted to blame the Republicans for the barricades. Now, on the very same Mall that those Memorials reside on, the Obama administration has decided to hold a massive rally for comprehensive immigration reform (you know it as amnesty for illegal aliens) on Tuesday.

According to Charlie Spiering at the Washington Examiner:

A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.

Organizers for the “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform” were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

A few scattered barriers around the park have signs informing visitors that the area is closed as a result of the government shutdown.

Spiering writes that that Susana Flores, a spokesman for the rally confirmed that the group would be allowed to hold their event due to their rights, which are protected under the First Amendment. Well, Hell’s Bells! Why are the veterans who fought to uphold the document that is supposed to protect such rights not given theirs?

On top of this, Lawmakers in Congress like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) are expected to be at the event, which is expecting about 10,000 people.

Various immigration activist organizations, along with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO will be on hand as well.

I could have guessed the White House was up for sale. He has to deliver to the unions he had helping him. I would rather they policed the park to deport those illegals here.
