Thursday Night Games at Excelsior

Many attendees of this Thursday night group do not RSVP on, feel free to come by it's always busy with multiple games going on!

We are gathering weekly on Thursday nights at Excelsior Games on Lorna Road in Hoover to play Euro-style Board games, plan RPG events, and generally have a good time. Many of us bring large game collections, so come by and try out a new game.

There is no admission fee for gamers, but please consider supporting our host by buying new games, soft drinks, and snacks.

I really don't think that it matters how many people play. The more players in the game just makes it a less freindly game. It is a very simple game, but very cut-throat. There will be times when players can take advantage of great opportunities. With a 4-6 player game, 1-2 players should go bankrupt and be out of the game within an hour to an hour and a half. The game basically supports 3-4 players and on rare occassions, 5 players. It usually takes 3-3.5 hours to play. Read my notes on Rail Baron in the Mad Doctor thread.

I would be interested in a Rail Baron teach/play, William. We'll just lay it out early and fill a table up. We can stop at 4p or 6p whichever you recommend.
