The Laramie Project at UB Student Center Theatre - tomorrow night!

I just found out about this by reading Jeanie Clark's post on Facebook. The Laramie Project is dedicated to the memory of Matthew Shepard, the young gay man who was beaten severely, tied to a barbed-wire fence, and left to die of exposure out in Wyoming 11 years ago. The show is being performed Thurs/Fri/Saturday at UB. The WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH buffoons are staging a protest of the Friday night performance. (the jerks who demonstrate at soldiers' funerals holding signs that say "God hates gays")

I didn't have plans for Friday anyhow - well, now I do. The best thing to do with these idiots is to ignore them - but the more people there to ignore them, the better! Anyone up for a little casual snubbery, and a play? Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors, and $5 for students. Doors open at 7:40 pm. Get your ticket online at www.etix.com - search by city, and the Laramie Project is the first thing to come up. I have to run to work now, so I will have to research this evening where a good "meetup" spot will be, pre-show. Maybe we can grab a beverage/snack before or after the performance.

So - I promise more details later on today - but I gotta hit the road!

Cell[masked] - text or call, y'all, if you think you'll be coming - have a purple short coat and wearing forest green pants, black clogs today - will be coming from work. Remember - if you come - IGNORE THE IDIOTS. That makes them mad.

Its usually general seating there. I already have tickets for tomorrow evening. Where did you find out about westboro baptist people?

Pretty sure the link is right for the tix but will check this evening - if it is NOT right, check back, I WILL fix it! (or - contact info for theater is posted here - maybe could get tix by calling them - not sure if reserved or general seating. Gotta run for now!)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
