Come feel the love w/ Fluid Movement Love Parade and the Transmodern Festival

Parade starts at about 3pm - Festival starts at 11am - Street Safari and performances run from 12 noon till 3pm  - Get there anytime; 1:30pm is arbitrary.

Fluid Movement has a history of doing wacky performances. See for details. They will be leading a parade and it should be a lovely parade. This is the parade part of Transmodern Festival 2011.

The Transmodern Festival continues to be a one-of-a-kind Baltimore phenomenon presenting experimental, expectation-defying work from local and national artists.

The Festival starts at noon, so you can get your ASS down there anytime before the parade, which starts at 3pm. This is the sort of Lovely event that makes Baltimore unique. Since this group of ASSes is so unique and eclectic, it only makes sense that we make a meetup out of this event.

We will be meeting at the H&H building, aka "H&H Campers Haven". Consider using the absolutely free Charm City Circulator Bus System: to get to this location. Stops 316 and 306 are closest. Also the Light Rail and the Metro Subway (Baltimore's diminutive subway line) are available for your transit pleasure (for a fee, unless you are one of those hard-working state employees).

To try to explain how wacky Fluid Movement is, I want to tell you the story of their inaugural event. It was water ballet/syncronized swiming in the form of a play. It featured about a dozen pregnant women. One of them was very pregnant :-0 and when the sun shown at a certain angle when she was on her back some people could see the the baby in the womb! That wasn't the intent of the performance, but you just never know what will happen at Fluid Movement events.  Mother & baby are doing fine. The "baby" is now about 6 years old.

The address of the H&H building is 424 North Eutaw St, which is at the corner of Eutaw & Franklin. The festival takes place over an area of several blocks. This is the starting point of the parade, but we will obviously be milling about before the parade in the blocks that contain the festival. If you think that I'm going to be standing from 1:30 till 3pm like a potted plant in front of the building then you are a real ASS. See you there. If you can't find us call me or a linda.
