Recreational Biking in Boca Raton on the Beautiful El Rio Trail and Beyond

This is a 15 mile or so recreational ride - which means relatively slow. Pace about 10 -11 mph, 3 rest stops along the way. After the ride, we may have chicken wings delivered to the parking area, bring a few dollars, water or other refreshments. Please make sure you can maintain 11 mph between the rest stops.

We'll start at the north end of the El Rio Trail and head south branching out through local parks and side streets. We stay off of busy streets and no one gets left behind.

You do need a working front and rear light for this ride. A helmet is strongly suggested.

Here's a typical route, though its subject to change.

I only have small front and rear lights. Is the trail lot as these lights are purely for being seen not more than that.

There are a few parts of the trail that are a bit dark. Stick close to other riders with brighter lights.
