  • Apr 17, 2014 · 5:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Please join my team or make a tax deductible gift to help my team reach our fundraising goal of $200! I already started the donation with $20. We want to be part of the healing STSM offers our community, and we hope you do to!

To register to walk click here. Did you know, even if you cannot be present on April 17th, you can still sign up to participate as a virtual walker? Don't delay, register today!

Men, women, and children of all ages are invited to participate, individually or in teams. Registration is FREE for children 12 and under. CLICK HERE for tips on shoes/heels or how to decorate your own shoes/heels. Walk a Mile gets men involved in the fight against sexual violence. The event also raises awareness about the free, local services STSM provides for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. It is one of several events held throughout April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).

To see pictures of last years event click here. (Do not be alarmed but: Men were in heels).

The walk begins in front of the South Carolina State House at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive early. Please read release form

Questions: Alexis Stratton at (803)[masked] or [masked]

Shoe ideas:

Look in thrift stores such as Salvation Army or Goodwill.

Borrow a pair of heels without backs.

Ebay, Payless, Shoe Show or Shoe Dept. stores usually have larger sized women's shoes.

Spray paint an old pair of shoes red or pink.

If wearing heels is not an option for you, decorate a pair of pink Crocs or flip flops!

I have a change of plans... Going out of town for spring break. :( I donated $40 and will not get my free t-shirt.
